Mirman School
This private school, grades K-8, houses 360 students on a two-acre mountain top site. The open campus plan is 35,000 sq. ft. arranged in three classroom quadrangles, for lower, middle, and upper grade students. The predominantly one-story building with low eaves and covered outdoor passages are designed to the scale of the children. Sloped red tiles roofs reflect the forms of the surrounding hills. Blue painted trellises and windows provide a playful texture and accent throughout the campus.

The master plan and initial phase of the school was completed in 1972. GFA has designed eight subsequent phases of development, with the original library completed in 1982. The Miriam School Library expansion was completed in 2008, including ground floor revision to circulation and office areas, restroom facilities, and an addition of mezzanine to house computer and meeting rooms.
